Our client is seeking an experienced disaster/emergency management professional to lead, implement, maintain and review arrangements (including business disruption incidents) and related support programs across their central Adelaide sites. The role will help the agency build and enhance and improve disaster resilience. This will be achieved through supporting program(s) that ensure that individuals and the broader organisation have sufficient capability to prepare for, respond to and recover from incidents. The organisation has committed to a single service, multiple site model, where services will be standardised across all services sites. You will support and positively contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive, effective and efficient disaster resilience program and monitor and review the effectiveness of the Emergency Response Teams when responding to, and recovering from a significant incident at each site.
Suitable candidates will have a proven high level experience in the management and provision of disaster/emergency management, business continuity, risk management and/or provision of security service programmes. You will have proven ability to develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, debrief and formally report on disaster/emergency and/or business disruption exercises. You will have
proven well developed ability and capacity to train staff and deliver effective workplace training, as well as develop/evaluate assessment and/or audit material. You will also have well developed experience in the delivery of effective project and programme management. Experience in the delivery of effective contract management, and in providing, monitoring and performance management outsourced services with the ability to analysing complex and critical problems, conducting investigations, and implementing recommendations and improvements is required. Relevant tertiary qualifications for equivalent experience.
