Event Coordinator Position
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic individual to coordinate internal and external events within our Community Engagement team. This part-time role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering quality events while supporting our community canteens.
* This position requires strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and logistics across multiple concurrent projects.
* You will be responsible for event production, including collateral design, speaker coordination, AV and security requirements, catering, and supplier management.
* Food procurement and inventory management for community canteens is also a key aspect of this role, including stock ordering, receipt, and storage of perishable and dry goods.
* The successful candidate will oversee canteen setup, operation, and pack-down, ensuring food preparation meets Occupational Health and Safety standards.
* Coordinating volunteer numbers and managing volunteers on event days is crucial, building strong relationships with our community members.
* Maintaining event databases and systems, responding to enquiries, and providing accurate information to diverse stakeholders is essential in this role.
