With over 450 professionals working across Australia, Veris combines innovative technologies with some of Australia's best spatial experience to deliver an integrated approach to the full project life cycle, from initial planning and feasibility through to construction and beyond.About the OpportunityThis role involves working closely with the Planning & Design teams within Consulting & Advisory (Melbourne) across a range of projects including strategic land use strategies, structure plans, infrastructure plans, complex development applications, affordable housing strategies, and land capability assessments.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake retail, commercial, industrial, and residential demand modelling to inform a range of strategic projects. Develop economic development strategies and input into structure plans, housing strategies, and land‐use strategies. Assist with infrastructure planning implementation advice for DCPs/ICPs through the preparation of cashflows, scenario testing and value capture analysis. Prepare economic impact assessments and cost‐benefit analyses associated with land use change. Liaise with clients including government agencies, private developers, and councils across a range of projects to communicate key findings and implications.About YouYou will offer the below key skills & qualifications: Education: Tertiary qualifications in economics, property, urban planning, or related disciplines. Experience: Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in consulting urban economics. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel modelling and data visualization, and spatial mapping tools (e.g., GIS). Communication: Strong report writing and presentation skills for presenting to councillors, developers, and community stakeholders.
