Our client Coopers is Australia's Largest Independent Brewery, with a strong commitment to producing high-quality beers while leading with sustainability and innovation. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to service Melbourne's key inner east and Bayside territory.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team who are passionate about what they do. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager you will be commercially orientated and highly motivated to drive sales growth and brand awareness through education and promotions, across both on and off premise accounts.
Your key focus will be exceeding sales targets and building long‑term relationships with new and existing customers. You will achieve this by utilising an exceptional product mix across the Coopers portfolio, supported by promotional plans and a robust senior leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Develop long‑term, strategic relationships with all customers
- Contribute to the execution of national plans, strategies and budgets
- Support national business objectives with new product development
- Complete sales, finance, administration and general reporting
- Execution and compliance of promotional & strategic plans
- Always deliver a high level of customer service
- Identify new business development opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the State sales team to achieve budgets and distribution targets and contribute to the company culture
- Actively participate in state meetings by sharing territory knowledge
- Manage a geographical territory and journey planner
- Effective manage territory utilising CRM (Rhino) and journey plans
- Use data insights to create growth opportunities
About you
- Ideally sales experience within drinks industry
- Excellent relationship and influencing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to contribute to business improvement and innovation
- Solutions orientated with a customer service mindset
- Abilty to manage your time, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Self motivated, confident and enthusiastic
- Passionate about beer and the wider the drinks industry
- A valid Australian drivers licence and full working rights
