Finance Business Partner – Crown Solicitor's Office, Sydney, NSW
Location: Sydney, NSW, AU, 2000. Work type: Full-Time – 35 hours per week. Temporary role up to 12 months with presence in the office required 3-4 times per week. Classification: Clerk Grade 9/10. Salary: $129,464–$142,665 p.a. (excluding employer’s superannuation and annualised leave loading).
About the Role
The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in supporting the CSO’s strategic and operational objectives by ensuring the effective delivery of budgeting and financial analysis responsibilities. This position enables the CSO to meet its budget targets while upholding compliance with internal policies, legislative obligations, and external regulatory requirements. It provides high-quality business insights and management accounting expertise to inform and guide decision-making across the organisation. The role collaborates with the Executive Leadership Team to deliver commercial value through analysis, financial acumen, and strategic support.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have relevant commercial experience within large, complex organisations and a strong customer focus. You will have the ability to build collaborative partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor. You will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and interpret financial results. You will contribute to maintaining robust governance and fit-for-purpose policies and processes.
* CA/CPA qualified with current professional membership
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Finance or Economics and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
* 3+ years' experience in a commercial and/or professional services environment
