Job Title: Network Specialist
The role of the Network Specialist is crucial in ensuring a superior network experience for our customers. The specialist uses their skills and experience to contribute to analysis, design, development and deployment in specific network technology domains.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Development: Develop test documentation and deliver it to agreed timelines, quality performance and customer service levels.
2. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of test strategies, test plans, test readiness and test report documentation.
3. Technical Expertise: Maintain and build expertise on Telstra's networks and products, technologies and operating systems.
4. Vendor Management: Work with external vendors to assess technology platforms, deliver products and services and troubleshoot advanced network issues.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in network engineering roles.
* Proficiency in telecommunications test equipment and testing methodologies (C-OTDR, BER, RFC2544).
* Strong knowledge of telecommunications technology – Ethernet, DWDM, OTN, SDH, PDH, MPLS-TP, Segment Routing.
* Strong competence in analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and leadership.
* Stakeholder & project management.
