Job Overview
Clinical Nurse Specialist – Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) – Mental Health Drug & Alcohol, Bloomfield
We are seeking an experienced registered nurse who is passionate about working with children, young people, and their families in a community mental health setting. The role delivers complex specialist nursing care and leads the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery to provide high‐quality care to young people struggling with acute mental illness and their families.
As a clinician within the CAMHS multidisciplinary team, you will engage in direct clinical practice while working alongside colleagues from nursing, psychology, dietetics, speech therapy, and psychiatry. The role provides specialist clinical leadership, serves as a resource to other health‐care teams, and contributes to the development of clinical processes, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Clinical assessment, case management, and therapeutic intervention
* Psychosocial support, crisis response, and safety planning
* Care planning, assertive outreach, advocacy, and coordination of supports
* Provide specialist clinical leadership and act as a resource to other health care teams
* Contribute to the development of clinical processes, policies, and procedures
* Collaborate with the team leader, clinical leader, and wider team to support a caring workplace culture
Work Environment
The service operates Monday to Friday 08:30am to 5:00pm. Clinicians are based in Yaganda Bulabul, a renovated clinical space on the grounds of the Bloomfield campus, with opportunities to see consumers in the community.
New staff will receive a supernumerary period, including clinical and operational orientation. Ongoing professional development opportunities are regularly offered, allowing continued skill development.
