The Opportunity
The Australian Sustainment Services Contract (ASSC) is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A platform based at RAAF Base Amberley.
**Responsibilities**:
The Supply Chain Specialist will be required to support the maintenance backshop staff, conduct inventory assessments, review stock levels and reorder, stocktaking, shelf life management and possibly disposals. The role ideally suits a proactive person who can find solutions and provide continuous improvement and consistent support to maintenance staff in the backshop locations.
Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Support concepts and methodologies.
- Experience within Defence or commercial Inventory Management System
- Competent in the use of MS Office computer software.
- High level communication and negotiation skills that facilitate open and effective communications between key stake holders.
Highly desirable
- Experience working within an aviation or Defence environment.
