About the role
Multiple opportunities available. See attached Service description for each speciality. The Assistant in Nursing will assist with the provision of quality, secure person‐ and family‐centred care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Work may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse (EN).
Qualifications and expected skills
* Beginning knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and the ability to seek assistance to appropriately manage patient‐centred care requirements under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
* Ability to use clinical information systems relevant to area of practice.
* Supports and respects the multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to achieve common goals.
* Ability to resolve issues using a problem‐solving framework.
* Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Mandatory Requirements
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine‐preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive No. 01/16.
