Registrar – Medical Administration
12‐month fixed‐term, full‐time contract starting 1 February 2027 (43 hours per week) – Cabrini Malvern. This is a full‐time onsite position, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the delivery of a comprehensive clinical governance/quality improvement program, including clinical audit, risk management and accreditation‐related activities.
* Assist with patient complaints, incident management (including SAPSEs, IDCRs and RCAs) and medico‐legal requests.
* Develop and review clinical policy and procedures.
* Support the review and introduction of new technologies and clinical practices across the organisation.
* Help lead and manage innovation and improvement projects.
* Participate in the management of recruitment and credentialing.
* Assist in the management of the junior medical workforce, including recruitment, onboarding, accreditation and financial tasks.
* Participate in Research Governance activities.
* Provide support to the Group Director Medical Services and Clinical Governance and to the Director of Medical Services, performing duties as requested.
Qualifications
* RACMA registrar in the later stages of training, aiming to transition toward independent specialist practice in medical administration.
* Unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner.
* Enrolled as a candidate of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
* Capacity to take direction and willingness to learn from nominated supervisors and senior team members.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in medical administration, including further education and quality assurance activities.
* Strong prioritisation and workflow management skills, with the ability to complete assignments on time.
* Analytical skills to assess situations, consider solutions, make decisions and communicate actions.
* Effective oral and written communication, confidence in presenting ideas and listening to others.
* Proactive risk‐taking and innovative problem‐solving mindset, with ability to manage change and potential conflict.
* Valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC).
