Parker is currently seeking the services of an Application Engineer based at our Office in Wodonga. This role is permanent Full-time with a salary range of $75,000 - $80,000.
About the role
The Application Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing hydraulic and electro-hydraulic systems tailored to meet customer specifications. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs, providing innovative engineering solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Application Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Design & Development: Assist in the design and development of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, gear pumps, and manifold blocks using available design suite.
* Hydraulic Systems: Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and contribute to the design of hydraulic systems tailored to customer needs.
* Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and support smooth production workflows.
* Quality & Safety: Adhere to strict safety and quality standards throughout the design and manufacturing process.
* Process Compliance: Follow documented engineering and manufacturing processes, ensuring all work supports LEAN operational principles.
* Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including design drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Experience
* Proven experience in designing hydraulic and electro-hydraulic systems.
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to hydraulic systems.
* Experience in project management and delivering engineering solutions on time and within budget.
* Previous customer-facing experience providing technical support or solutions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Skills and Competencies
* Some practical experience or internships in hydraulic system design or manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
* Great communication and interpersonal skills for conveying technical information effectively.
* Great analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
