About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager to lead and continuously improve SHEQ performance across four operational sites, encompassing both mining and pigment operations.
Reporting to the SHEQ Director and operating as a key member of the site leadership team, this role is responsible for leading site‐based SHEQ teams and budgets, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and corporate requirements, and driving strong safety, health, environmental and quality outcomes across the business.
You will develop and deliver annual SHEQ plans aligned with business and global standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives across the SHEQ disciplines, support occupational health, industrial hygiene and fitness‐for‐work programs, and oversee emergency response and crisis management preparedness.
The role also involves coordinating internal and external audits, leading critical incident investigations, maintaining strong relationships with regulators, external stakeholders and site leadership, and coaching and developing the SHEQ team. In this influential leadership position, you will play a critical role in embedding accountability, proactive intervention and a strong safety, environmental and quality culture at all levels of the organisation, while making a tangible impact on safety, sustainability and operational excellence across Tronox's Southwest operations.
About You
* Proven SHEQ leadership experience in mining, heavy industry or manufacturing.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian SHEQ legislation and standards.
* Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and frontline teams across multiple sites.
* Experience leading audits, incident investigations and regulatory engagement.
* Tertiary qualification in Safety, Health, Environment or a related discipline (desirable).
* Confident communicator with a proactive, continuous‐improvement‐focused mindset.
