As part of a large family-owned European design group operating across more than 30 countries, Nine United is now establishing a direct presence in Australia after more than 20 years’ operating through distribution partners. With a new flagship showroom opening in Manly, the business is building a small but highly capable local team focused on developing strong relationships within the architecture and design community. We are now seeking a Contract Manager to drive product specification into commercial projects by building relationships with architects, interior designers and commercial furniture dealers. This role will suit a well-connected A&D sales professional who understands commercial projects, enjoys networking with industry professionals and thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment. What the role looks like: • Build strong relationships with architects, designers and specifiers • Present product collections to design studios and project teams • Drive specification of Nine United products into commercial projects • Support designers with samples, finishes, technical information and drawings • Manage relationships with contract furniture dealers across Australia • Coordinate project involvement from tender stage through installation • Prepare quotations, tenders and commercial proposals • Track project pipelines and maintain CRM forecasts • Represent the brands at design events, industry functions and client meetings • Work closely with sales, logistics and international brand teams You will be based in the Manly showroom, while spending significant time meeting clients across Sydney and nationally. What we’re looking for: • Experience in contract furniture, commercial interiors or A&D specification sales • Strong existing relationships with architects and interior designers • Experience managing commercial fit-out or design-led projects • Comfortable presenting premium design products to industry professionals • Confident negotiating pricing, tenders and commercial agreements • Highly professional and credible communicator • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously • Strong networking and relationship-building skills Experience with premium furniture brands or commercial interiors suppliers would be highly regarded.
