Offer description

Community Connections support our participants to pursue their passion and achieve their goals while increasing daily living skills, building confidence in social interaction and encourage community connections. This may be within their own home, through one-on-one support or group activities, weekdays, evenings and weekends. LFE requires an organised, self-motivated, energetic and reliable team member for a busy and varied role that will see you working in an administration role and out and about providing support to Participants.

Essential Criteria:

- An interest in working with people with challenged abilities and from different cultural backgrounds
- High level of communication and listening skills
- Mid level of computer skills
- Mid level of administration skills
- Self-motivation and ethics with a commonsense approach
- Comfortable to work independently as well as an active team member
- Advocate on behalf of participants when necessary
- Assist with Personal Care when necessary
- Assist with Medication when necessary
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
- Full employment history, including level and year you completed your education

Desirable Criteria:

- Knowledge of the NDIS
- Experience in the field
- Certificate III / IV Disabilities, or relevant qualification
- Certificate in Administration
- Willing to share your varying skills, hobbies and interests - cooking, music, photography etc

Conditions of Employment
- As per Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010
- Casual/PPT position, to be negotiated with the right applicant.
