Aboriginal Health Manager – Clinical Trials

Employment Type: Full Time Permanent

Position Classification: Health Manager Level 1

Remuneration: $87,813 – $116,824 per annum (+ super + 17.5% leave loading)

About The Opportunity

* Establishing and maintaining Aboriginal community partnerships.
* Supporting the conduct and implementation of clinical trial protocols in accordance with governance frameworks and standards.
* Collaborating to raise clinical trial awareness, develop initiatives, and deliver training opportunities.
* Supporting the preparation and implementation of Aboriginal Health Impact Statements and strategies that reflect the needs, priorities and values of Aboriginal people.
* Assisting in the development and delivery of community engagement strategies to increase participation in clinical trials by Aboriginal communities.
* Contributing to cultural governance processes across the Southern Cluster to ensure safe and respectful clinical trial operations.
* This is an identified position in accordance with Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.

About You

* Strong experience in Aboriginal community engagement and partnership development.
* Knowledge of culturally safe clinical practices and Aboriginal Health Impact Statements.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple organisations and health districts.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and engagement with Aboriginal communities.
