Community Engagement Worker, Alcohol and Other Drugs – Grafton
Join the Northern NSW Local Health District as a Community Engagement Worker. This role focuses on engaging individuals in treatment to reduce problematic drug and alcohol use, prevent relapse, address lifestyle issues and promote adherence to treatment goals.
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time (20 hours per week)
Remuneration: $74,317.94 – $104,336.27 per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications.
Position Classification: Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Counsellor Lvl 1/2, Occupational Therapist Lvl 1/2, Social Worker Lvl 1/2
Location: Grafton, New South Wales
Responsibilities:
* Support engagement in treatment and reduce impact of problematic drug and alcohol use.
* Assist with prevention of relapse and encourage adherence to treatment goals.
* Improve psychosocial status of individuals and address lifestyle issues.
* Provide assertive follow up to community-based referrals.
* Identify and address barriers to accessing treatment as part of a multidisciplinary drug & alcohol team.
