Job Description
The role
Joining us as our Work Health and Safety Coordinator, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, supportive workplace by coordinating day-to-day WHS and wellbeing activities across the business.
You'll keep core WHS systems running smoothly and deliver high-quality support across incident and hazard management, risk reporting (including ERM/Protecht), documentation, audit actions and stakeholder communications.
Some of your key duties will be to:
* Monitor and coordinate hazard and incident management, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation where needed
* Support investigations, corrective actions and maintenance of WHS records and registers
* Assist with the development, review and communication of WHS policies and procedures
* Manage the WHS inbox, triaging enquiries and tracking actions through to completion
* Track audit findings and action items, ensuring accurate reporting and evidence capture
* Coordinate WHS meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes and action tracking
Qualifications
About you:
You will bring demonstrated experience in a WHS coordination role within Work Health and Safety or a related discipline (including allied health). You will have strong attention to detail, with a proven ability to maintain accurate records, registers and effectively track actions. You are proactive and adaptable, able to think on your feet and provide practical WHS advice and support in a dynamic environment.
A formal WHS qualification (or progress toward one) and exposure to WHS systems such as Protecht will be highly regarded, as will experience supporting audits and evidence collation.
You are confident interpreting procedures, contributing to process improvements and communicating clearly through emails, reports and documentation to ensure incident and hazard reporting and management processes are followed, while keeping stakeholders informed.
With strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, you engage effectively with stakeholders, follow up actions proactively and handle sensitive information with discretion.
