The Opportunity
As a Senior Accountant, you'll take a lead role in delivering and reviewing compliance work, providing practical advisory support, and overseeing workflow to ensure quality outcomes. You'll act as the key link between clients, team members, and directors, balancing technical precision with strong leadership and collaboration and helping refine internal systems and processes, strengthen reporting, and contribute to an accountable, high‐performing culture.
What You'll Do
* Manage client relationships with professionalism, responsiveness, and care
* Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS and FBT
* Provide clients with clear, practical, and strategic advice
* Oversee workflow, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
* Review team members' work and provide constructive feedback
* Contribute to refining internal systems and processes
* Mentor junior and intermediate accountants
* Support directors with planning, priorities, and capacity management

What You'll Bring
* Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
* ACCA, CPA or CA qualified (or near completion) – NOT compulsory!
* At least 8 years' experience in public practice
* Strong technical knowledge across tax and complianceProven ability to review work and mentor others
* Proficiency in Xero (MYOB or QuickBooks experience a plus)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Full working rights in Australia
