Doctors in Training Recruitment Campaign 2027
The Advanced Training program at the Royal Hobart Hospital has been developed for trainees to have access to subspecialties that meet all core training requirements including 12 months of core training in General Medicine and 6-12 months core subspecialty terms.
We're accredited for 24 months core and 12 months of non-core training at our site. Trainees are offered 1 year contract initially with the potential to extend to 2-3 years. Several positions are available starting at the beginning of February 2027 for trainees entering Advanced Training or continuing training from other hospitals.

* Core General Medicine related - RAMU, General Medicine ED team
Major medical sub-specialties with 6-month terms
* Respiratory
* Nephrology
* Cardiology
Salary: $134,930 - $189,005 per annum Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar) Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service)
Fixed term, full time day work, 76 hours per fortnight (+ 10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro rata), starting from 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028
