The role
Adbri is seeking a skilled and proactive Specialist – Technology Controls to lead SOX compliance activities and statutory audit functions within our Group Technology team. This role is critical in ensuring our internal controls are robust, effective, and aligned with regulatory standards, while also supporting the smooth operation of the department.
Operational Responsibilities
Lead and manage SOX compliance activities and statutory audit coordination across Group Technology.
Provide independent, practical advice on internal controls and risk management.
Conduct regular control reviews and assess the impact of new initiatives on the control environment.
Document, maintain, and continuously improve technology controls and related processes.
Support departmental operations through effective administration and training on control programs.
What you will need to succeed
A degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, with 3+ years' experience in IT controls or technology audit.
Hands-on experience in service desk, application development, infrastructure, and ERP systems like SAP.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and creatively.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
Familiarity with SOX requirements and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act implementation is a plus.
