We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Residential Care Program as a Youth Worker. Our team provides accommodation, top-tier physical and emotional care, and unwavering support to children and young people aged 10 to 17 who require protection from harm.
This is a challenging yet deeply rewarding role that requires resilience, creativity, and a commitment to the growth and well-being of the young people in your care. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care, implementing current best practice interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety.
As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals. You will also serve as a positive role model, supporting young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.
To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask with ease are essential in this fast-paced environment. A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification is required, along with a driver's license (minimum green P's) for transporting young people.
