Discipline Engineer / Scientist - Port Operations & Infrastructure
Location: Port Hedland (Roster: 8/6), Start: June 2026, Duration: approx. 6 months, Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour.
The Role
This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects across a large-scale heavy industrial facility. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
* Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates and execution plans
* Coordinate with operations, maintenance and reliability teams
* Manage contractors, procurement activities and vendor engagement
* Support shutdown planning and project execution activities
* Review and redline technical drawings and documentation
* Track project budgets, forecasts and reporting requirements
* Raise and manage notifications within SAP
* Source and manage long‐lead equipment and materials
* Ensure compliance with site safety, engineering and project management procedures
* Participate in contractor compliance and stakeholder meetings
* Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* Solid project management experience within mining, ports or heavy industrial environments
* Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects
* Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced operational environment
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
