Implementing and improving maintenance practices in a facility that creates top-notch products for nearly ¼ of the world’s population is challenging work, but it’s worth it when you’re recognized often by your manager, supported by your team, and see those essential products being used by your own loved ones each day.
The E-Tech role is predominately an operational role, with time split between operating a production asset, and when required, responsible for carrying out electrical work on shift. They are required to follow the escalation procedure in seeking assistance from the electrical reliability team leaders & engineering group as required.
In this role, you will be installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components of machines and assets in our mill facility, in accordance with our reliability strategy and site safety standards. This role is part of Kimberly-Clark’s commitment to pioneering and upholding World Class Best Maintenance practices at a global level and applying those standards to safely produce premium Kleenex products right here in Millicent SA.

About You
As a person, you’re a flexible thinker, a motivated fixer – someone who is always taking initiative to solve problems, make things better and respectfully engage others along the journey with you. As an Electrical Technician, you are able to demonstrate your previous Electrical Technician experience, you work best under pressure and you deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, being flexible (in both mindset and practice) and working collaboratively with them toward team goals.
Along with your commitment to delivering high quality products you will:
1. Hold a current Class A Electrical License
2. Be able to demonstrate your Electrical experience in an ever-changing technical environment including networks and site infrastructure.
3. Follow and adhere to relevant processes and procedures
4. Be self-motivated with a strong focus on safety, thoroughness, and team cohesion
5. Have a willingness to learn, be open minded and driven to achieve
6. Hold a current High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) or willingness to obtain prior to employment
7. Help K-C cultivate ideas and refine our understanding of our valued consumers
