Hays are recruiting a contract administrator for a growing construction company based in Perth, just 10 minutes from the city centre. This commercial builder is known for delivering high-quality projects across the education, residential, high rise, aged care, and fit-out sectors.
With a strong pipeline of work and recent tender wins, they are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our dynamic and collaborative environment.
Your recent role
As a Contracts Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects such as schools, apartments, hospices, retirement villages, and commercial fit-outs. You'll work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure contracts are administered efficiently and in line with project goals.
This role will require someone who has at least 4 years commercial construction contracts experience or quantity surveying. Western Australia experience is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts from procurement to close-out
Prepare and review progress claims, variations, and payment schedules
Assist with tender reviews, contract negotiations, and compliance
Maintain accurate contract documentation and reporting
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in contract administration within commercial construction, preferably apartment contracts administration
Strong understanding of contract terms, variations, and financial tracking
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work across multiple projects and meet deadlines
Proficiency in construction software and document control systems
