Library Services Officer - New Norfolk Library
Location: Recent Norfolk, South Central Region
Position type: Temporary, ongoing
Hours: 73.5 hours per fortnight

Overview
To support the delivery of a quality, contemporary library service to meet a range of diverse and complex information and recreational needs to an agreed service standard, including developing and implementing particular aspects of Libraries Tasmania services and programs. Build and maintain effective relationships within the community to promote inclusion and lifelong learning.
Responsibilities

- Develop and implement aspects of Libraries Tasmania services and programs as required.
- Build and maintain relationships within the community to promote inclusion and lifelong learning.
- Collaborate with team members to meet client needs and service standards.
Essential qualifications and attributes
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration status – Employment. Note: The cost of RWVP is the applicant's responsibility.
- Great communication skills and high-level client service experience in a contemporary library setting.
- Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and apply conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with MS Office, database management systems, and internet search engines; awareness of Workplace Health and Safety in a customer service setting.
- Flexibility to be rostered for late afternoon shifts and Saturday mornings to support library opening hours.
