Tas Trucks are expanding our product and knowledge base to include Western Star and Man Trucks and have a great opportunity for a driven Workshop Foreman to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the diagnosis and repair of a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles. As the key support person for our technicians, you will carry out quality control checks on service repairs and provide hands-on mentoring to the team.
Core duties will include:
1. Effective allocation of service and repair jobs to Mechanics
2. Diagnosis and repair of a wide range of heavy vehicles
3. Hands-on supervision and mentoring a team of Mechanics and Apprentices
4. Effective partnering with Service Advisors and Mechanics during express assessments
5. Carrying out quality control checks on service repairs conducted by Mechanics and Apprentices
6. Ensuring all work carried out is in accordance with manufacturer requirements and standards for warranty
The successful candidate will have:
1. Cert III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical
2. Demonstrated experience with European or Japanese truck brands
3. Strong leadership capabilities including ability to drive cohesion and productivity
4. Process and compliance driven mindset, with a strong sense of responsibility and efficiency
5. MR-HR Truck or Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential
6. Awareness of safe working procedures
