Responsibilities
Reporting into the Shared Services Manager and managing a team of 5, you will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the billings function nationally. The role leads the organisation's billing and e‐billing function, ensuring accurate, timely invoicing while managing performance, risks, and compliance with client requirements. It oversees key processes such as month‐end billing, complex billing arrangements and e‐billing submissions, while driving improvements through automation and efficiency. The position also acts as the main escalation point for billing issues and supports financial reporting, audits and revenue activities. In addition, the role focuses on team leadership and stakeholder engagement, managing and developing a billing team, improving capabilities across the firm, and collaborating closely with partners and other internal teams to implement best practices and support client needs.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an established people manager (non‐negotiable) with a track record in mentoring and inspiring staff. You will have exposure to billings in particular; however candidates with broader exposure in multi‐disciplinated transactional finance roles (shared services, accounts or practice managers) are welcome to apply. Finally, you will be an outstanding communicator, a natural leader, and have a passion for coaching and mentoring staff.
