About Us
District Pharmacy Services is a small team of friendly pharmacists who manage medication safety, quality use of medicines and pharmacy education for Hunter New England LHD.
About the Role
This newly formed, district‑wide position will collaborate with Pharmacy, IT, Clinical Governance and Biomedical Technology teams to:
- Develop and implement governance arrangements for smart infusion devices and a district‑wide smart pump library.
- Coordinate the rollout of smart infusion devices to clinical areas within HNELHD.
- Work alongside nursing, allied health and medical staff.
- Receive orientation and ongoing support from district pharmacists and the Pharmacy Educator.
- Assist with changes to the medication library dataset and pump configurations in collaboration with clinicians.
Qualifications
- A registered pharmacist with AHPRA.
- An experienced pharmacist with a hospital clinical pharmacy background.
- Bonus points for experience with smart pumps or implementing new technology in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Independent, rapid‑learning and collaborative.
