We are looking for a Lead Educator who is a natural at engaging with children, families and other Educators - in fact you'll be a true team player and work with your peers to create a warm, caring, nurturing and safe workplace for children.
You’ll create the type of room environment where children can’t wait to enter, and parents will see and feel the organisation, and excitement about all the plans you have in play for the children's development that day. And they’ll drop their child off knowing they’ll have an awesome day learning all that matters through play. Children's trips home will be full of chatter about the new things they learnt, exciting things they discovered, and what they did with their friends and Educators (play‑based & compliant programming will be at the heart of your room). If you are an experienced Educator you’ll know a Room Leader excels at these things:
Working in accordance with the requirements of the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care & ECA.Code of Ethics;
You’ll be completely up to date with the new Child Protected legislation and know what that means on a practical level in your day to day dealings within the service
You’ll be driven to deliver the centre’s philosophy and support the vision of our approved provider/ ownersin all areas of administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, and any other areas as the need arises or as otherwise directed.
Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety; and uphold privacy and confidentiality;
Providing ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of your room and the general running of the centre
Sound knowledge, understanding and practical application of the Early Years Learning Framework to generate outcomes for children's development.
Being a shining example of a team player right across the centre
Ability to collaborate with the Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor and follow instructions for the best outcomes for children, the centre and your peers
