Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced pipeline engineer to join our high performing technical services team. The role will be based in either Melbourne or Brisbane and will involve working on large engineering and construction, high pressure pipeline projects. Responsibilities
* Deliver pipeline engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
* Experience in the design or operations of high‐pressure pipelines.
* Familiar with a suite of standards and relevant APGA code of practices.
* Pipeline engineering areas of experience include:
o Pipeline engineering design.
o Awareness of all aspects of pipeline safety management.
o Pipeline route selection and pipeline alignment sheet development.
o Pipeline crossing design.
o Pipeline assemblies and station design.
o Engineering input of pipeline and station drawings.
o Experience in material selection, fracture‐control plans and line‐pipe specifications (highly regarded).
o Familiarity with buried pipeline coating and cathodic protection systems.
* Develop specifications, data sheets and scope of work for pipeline equipment.
* Conduct technical bid evaluation and vendor data review.
* Communicate effectively with other disciplines, engineering teams and project stakeholders, including the client.
* Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions and request assistance when required.
Qualifications
* Australian recognised degree in engineering.
* Registration: CPEng (preferred), RPEV or RPEQ (mandatory) and IPENg (beneficial).
* Minimum 10 years engineering experience in oil & gas, refining or chemicals.
* Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
* Good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of pipeline engineering and the basic requirements of mechanical, pipeline and other engineering fields.
* Awareness of the APGA pipeline engineer competency system.
* Competent use of engineering‐specific software and relevant software such as MS Office suite.
* Ability to work under minimal supervision while maintaining the ability to deliver assigned projects on budget and on time.
