Overview
Coolbellup Community School & Learning Centre P&C - supported by Cockburn Volunteer Resource Centre – Coolbellup WA. Coolbellup Community School P&C focuses on healthy eating and sustainability. We would like to see our school veggie garden fully operational. We would love our children to have opportunities to learn outside the classroom and to gain skills they can use in the future. Any fruit or vegetables grown will be used to support classroom cooking, our Breakfast Club and our Crunch and Sip program. Our volunteer should be experienced with vegetable gardening and able to explain gardening principals to our children. Knowledge of permaculture and or sustainability principles would be a bonus. Our volunteer will work with a teacher and a small group of children to form a gardening club. The volunteer will need a valid working with children check. The P&C will provide support during the set up of the garden and will cover the cost of any required materials.
