Roster: Casual | Various shifts and hours available
Pay: $25.85 base rate + casual loading + penalty rates (as applicable)
We are seeking a motivated Cook / Catering Assistant to join our aged care team in Hamilton. In this hands‐on role, you will support the preparation and service of nutritious, high‐quality meals that contribute to the health and wellbeing of residents.
You will work as part of a supportive kitchen team in a caring environment where consistency, food quality, and resident satisfaction are central to everything we do.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys practical kitchen work, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering reliable service.

Desired Skills and Experience Key Responsibilities
* Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and service delivery
* Support daily kitchen operations and bulk meal preparation
* Prepare and present texture‐modified foods with care and precision
* Deliver friendly, efficient service with a smile
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen
* Follow all food safety, hygiene, and WHS procedures
About You
* Previous experience in a kitchen hand, catering assistant, cook, or hospitality role
* Exposure to aged care, healthcare, or contract catering environments (desirable)
* Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
* Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently under pressure
* Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
* A respectful and caring approach to working in aged care
