Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely.
* Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs.
* Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications under the guidance of a nurse.
* Maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as making beds and cleaning rooms.
* Organise and engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well‐being.
* Respond promptly to residents' requests for assistance in a professional manner.
* Follow care plans outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals to meet the highest standards of care.
* Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
* Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
* A minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care or Individual Support.
* Evidence of a Police Check and NDIS clearance (or evidence that the checks are in process).
