Maternal & Child Health Nurse - Enhanced
We are seeking a Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our team. As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse in the Enhanced Service, you will be part of a highly skilled, compassionate, and supportive team that places the wellbeing of children and families at the heart of everything we do.
You will make an impact by delivering high-quality, family-centred care that supports the health, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–6, building trusted relationships with families, and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure wraparound support and optimal outcomes for families.
- Delivering high-quality, family-centred care that supports the health, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–6.
- Building trusted relationships with families, offering guidance and support through key developmental stages and life challenges.
- Identifying and responding to complex needs including mental health, family violence, and child safety concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure wraparound support and optimal outcomes for families.
- Leading and participating in community education initiatives that promote health, resilience, and connection across the municipality.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Registration with AHPRA as a General Nurse and Midwife.
- Qualification as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse.
- Desirable minimum 2 years’ experience in the MCH sector, with demonstrated ability to support vulnerable and diverse families within an outreach setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge of child development, behaviour, and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and culturally safe practice.
- Commitment to working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to assess risk and respond appropriately, including mandatory reporting.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
