Community Engagement and Events Liaison
Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a Community Engagement and Events Liaison to work collaboratively with the Community Relations team and support the School community and its many activities and groups. This role plays a key part in developing and delivering an annual program of community events and acts as a friendly and professional point of contact for parents, alumni volunteers, staff and other stakeholders.
Location: South Yarra campus, Melbourne, VIC.
This is a 12‐month contract position. Flexibility to attend after‐hours events is required, with time‐in‐lieu offered.
You Will
* Assist the Community Relations team to achieve its goals by coordinating and delivering an annual program of in‐person, digital and hybrid community engagement events.
* Support the planning and delivery of the annual engagement program.
* Run events and programs from start to finish, including coordinating logistics, guest speakers, volunteer management, suppliers, project timelines, budgets, communications and resourcing.
* Maintain and build relationships with staff, alumni, parents, volunteers, donors and other members of the School community, taking a high‐level services approach, particularly with Old Melburnians and Friends of Grammar.
* Manage shared inboxes and calendar, responding to enquiries promptly and efficiently.
* Using the database and systems provided, maintain accurate and consistent records, ensuring all new information is updated and recorded.
* Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Employee Working with Children Clearance.
Applicants must have excellent administrative and stakeholder‐relations skills, be highly detail oriented and comfortable using systems and databases. A willingness to work flexible hours, including after‐hours events, is essential.
