Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that has been delivering comprehensive, culturally safe primary health care to the Broome community for over 45 years. As an approved aged care and NDIS provider, BRAMS delivers a range of person‐centred community services that support the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people and their families across the life course.
About the Role
We are seeking an Administration Officer to join our Clinical Services team. This is an opportunity to be the welcoming face of BRAMS and to play a vital role in keeping our clinics running smoothly for the Broome community.
Working at reception and across the clinic, you will provide high‐quality, culturally safe administrative support that enables the effective delivery of services. You will coordinate client appointments, manage patient registration and information in MMEx, process Medicare claims, support specialist clinics, and deliver a consistently high standard of customer service in line with the BRAMS Model of Care and Quality Care Framework.
About You

* Certificate III in Health Administration, or a willingness to complete one.
* Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, Aboriginal health, culture and the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite, email and patient information and recall database systems.
* Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Client‐focused, professional and reliable, with a positive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
Previous experience within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service, and familiarity with clinical or patient management systems, is highly regarded.
