Constructive Building Consultants is a Perth-based building surveying and structural engineering consultancy with a team of 24. We have built a strong reputation across the WA market on the back of technically sound work, good client relationships, and a team that takes professional standards seriously.
We are growing, and we are looking for a building surveyor to grow with us. This role is open to candidates at every stage of their career. If you are working toward your registration and want to develop under experienced practitioners, we will support that. If you are a senior surveyor with a book of referrals and a reputation in the Perth market, we want to hear from you. The salary range and career pathway reflect genuine experience, not just years of service.
The role is primarily production focused. You will carry a caseload of building surveying work and deliver it to a consistent standard. For the right person, there is a clear path into a senior and leadership position as the division grows.
What You Will Do
* Provide National Construction Code consulting across residential, commercial, industrial and public sector projects
* Prepare and issue statutory certification including Certificates of Design Compliance, Construction Compliance and Building Compliance
* Conduct building audits and NCC compliance reviews
* Carry out site inspections and produce associated documentation
* Prepare technical due diligence reports for clients and stakeholders
* Coordinate building approvals with local government and relevant authorities
* Maintain accurate project records and liaise with internal teams and external consultants
What We Are Looking For
* Registration as a Building Surveyor in WA, or actively working toward it
* Sound working knowledge of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
* Ability to manage a caseload independently and to deadline
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Professional and considered in your dealings with clients, builders and authorities
Highly Regarded
* Experience across commercial, industrial or public sector project types
* Membership with AIBS or equivalent professional body
* Existing client or referral network in the Perth market
* Interest in contributing to the growth of the building surveying division
The Package
Salary is offered in the range of $120,000 to $180,000, set based on your experience, qualifications, professional affiliations and the value you bring to the team. We will have a direct conversation about where you sit in that range and why. Additional benefits include flexibility where projects allow and structured mentorship for earlier-career candidates. For the right person, there is a longer‐term conversation to be had about leadership and equity participation.
