Leadership Opportunity in Asphalt Operations
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Brisbane asphalt team. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for delivering contracting services safely, profitably, and while driving operational excellence, team development, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the asphalt team to achieve budgeted performance targets.
2. Oversee project delivery, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Develop and implement regional business plans aligned with strategic objectives.
4. Foster strong client relationships and promote innovative solutions.
5. Empower and develop staff through coaching, succession planning, and performance reviews.
6. Drive compliance with integrated management systems and Zero Harm initiatives.
7. Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met across all operations.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
* A sound understanding of delivering asphalt, surfacing, paving, and/or minor civil works.
* Proven experience in project operations management at a senior level.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
* Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder relationships and identify business opportunities.
* Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Sound knowledge of work health and safety and employee relations legislation.
