We are seeking a Software QA Analyst in our Sydney office based in Pymble, who will play a key role in protecting product quality, reducing release risk, and strengthening confidence in the delivery of the Thomax software suite. The role is accountable for designing, executing, and maintaining automated and manual testing practices that validate product functionality, support reliable releases, and ensure testing capability evolves with the product. The role reports to the Software Development Manager.

* A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, OR at least two years' experience working with software testing systems and practices
* Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Maestro, Selenium, or Playwright
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability to investigate issues and support effective solutions
* Adaptability in working with evolving technologies, changing environments, and shifting project priorities
* Ability to document processes and communicate information clearly for varied audiences
* Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including iterative delivery, documentation, and testing practices
The Suitable Candidate
* Establishes and maintains testing frameworks that protect product quality, stability, and customer confidence
* Favours automation over manual testing and actively identifies opportunities to automate testing to improve efficiency and outcomes
* Partners with the development team to embed consistent testing and quality assurance standards across delivery activities
* Maintains current knowledge of leading methodologies, tools, and practices in software test automation
* Builds understanding of customer environments to ensure testing reflects real-world usage and business needs
* Maintains and updates test coverage as product features evolve to preserve quality and release confidence
* Supports compliance with applicable standards including ISO and privacy requirements
It would be great, but not mandatory if you had:
* Experience in warehousing, transportation, distribution, or logistics environments
* Experience in software industry roles related to Warehouse Management Systems, e-commerce, EDI, POS, or ERP platforms
* Experience using Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
* Experience working with LAMP stack or PHP-based software environments
* Experience testing or supporting mobile software applications on iOS or Android
* Familiarity with test management tools such as qTest or Zephyr
* Working knowledge of internal and external APIs, including data formats such as JSON and XML
* Working understanding of version control concepts and their role in software development
