As a System Architect, you'll shape and guide the technical direction within your domain, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture. You'll play a central role in setting standards, making key architectural decisions, and supporting teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant products. Working closely with engineering and product leaders, you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical input to drive outcomes that align with the broader product vision.
What you'll be doing
* Interpret enterprise architecture and translate it into domain-specific standards, principles, and guidelines
* Develop and maintain key architecture artefacts, including decision documents, data models, system context diagrams, and integration interfaces
* Act as the architectural design authority, setting direction for integration strategies and resolving complex technical challenges
* Collaborate with Product teams to ensure alignment with product vision and roadmap
* Design and review technical solutions across code, data, and user interface layers
* Champion development methodologies, coding standards, and security protocols
* Participate in testing and code reviews to maintain high quality and provide technical guidance
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and work health and safety requirements
Qualifications
* Strong technical expertise in software architecture and enterprise systems
* Deep understanding of non-functional requirements, including performance, security, and privacy
* Proven ability to establish and promote coding standards and architectural consistency
* Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical guidance
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to align technical decisions with business objectives
* Experience working in enterprise software environments (TechnologyOne experience is highly regarded)
* Ability to influence, guide, and support teams through complex technical decisions
