About the role
Join the Northern Country CAMHS team as a Social Worker or Senior Social Worker, delivering high‐quality, evidence‐based mental health services to children and young people aged 0–16 and their families across regional South Australia. You will provide comprehensive assessment, therapeutic interventions, education, counselling, group work, and consultation within a multidisciplinary and interagency framework. Both roles accept accountability for the outcomes of clinical practice, ensuring optimal consumer care and recovery, and are responsible for addressing any inconsistencies between practice and policy. The Senior Social Worker role additionally provides leadership through supervision, direction, support, and education of staff, as well as participation in action research projects, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development. Both roles promote culturally responsive, person‐centred care, contribute to service planning, and foster ongoing professional development and excellence in clinical practice.
Essential Qualification:
A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
