Business Administrator – Power

Within Beca, there are endless opportunities and no shortage of exciting projects within our rapidly growing Australian operations. Our Power and Energy teams work throughout Australasia on high‐value projects ranging from traditional high voltage power transmission to infrastructure and industrial projects across Rail, Water and Airport markets.

Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Administrator to join our Power team in Melbourne on a part‐time basis. If you enjoy variety, managing multiple priorities and being at the centre of a dynamic team, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact each day. This is a hybrid role, with an office presence to support team collaboration and connection. While our preference is for school hours spread across five days to support team connectivity, we offer flexibility and are open to discussing a working pattern that suits you.

What you'll be doing
* Providing high‐level administrative support to the Section Managers and team, coordinating day‐to‐day operations and supporting section‐wide activities including reporting, diary management, and communications.
* Supporting employee processes such as onboarding, timesheets, PDPs, KPIs and quality compliance.
* Coordinating and maintaining section health, safety and OHS activities.
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and supporting the implementation of more efficient ways of working.
* Building strong relationships and delivering a high‐quality, responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Managing requests in a timely manner, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned on outcomes.
About You
* Proven administrative experience and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
* Advanced MS Office skills, accompanied by high numeracy skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
* Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
* Positive energy, a natural enjoyment of communication, and a genuine desire to help and support others.
What we offer
* Flexibility & wellbeing: We recognise that achieving a work‐life balance is unique to everyone. Enjoy flexible working options to manage your personal and family priorities, along with dedicated leave for wellbeing and community engagement.
* Belonging & ownership: Join a diverse and inclusive team where collaboration and creativity thrive. Bring your whole self to work and take advantage of unique shareholder opportunities to share in our collective success.
* Parental leave: Up to 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave, inclusive of all genders.
* Career growth & development: Benefit from continuous learning through our training programmes and support for professional accreditation. Work alongside industry leaders and gain hands‐on experience to empower your career potential.

We are an employee‐owned professional services consultancy committed to diversity and inclusion and supporting great ideas. All eligible employees can participate in share ownership.
