Are you a highly skilled, innovative and agile professional who wants to make a difference to the lives of people experiencing domestic and family violence?
As the Senior Domestic and Family Violence Practitioner, Embedded Worker, you will respond to victim-survivors presenting at the police station counter for assistance with domestic and family violence matters. You will have a key role in guiding and developing the practice of the specialist team and maintaining and strengthening relationships with officers and key roles within the Beaudesert, Jimboomba, and Logan Village police stations.

Role location: Rotation between Beaudesert and Jimboomba Police Stations.
Role type: Permanent, full time
Pay range: $110,462 a year based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available
In this role you will:
Identify and assess risk and resource victim-survivors to increase their immediate safety.
Provide information and facilitate access to relevant services to address health, parenting, financial, employment support, legal, and other counselling needs.
Assist police to engage with victim-survivors, build trust and rapport and promote better understanding of power and control to strengthen the identification of the person most in need of protection.
About you

Bring experience in a similar role and have a domestic and family violence framework underpinned by a gendered perspective of violence, application of the common risk and safety framework and information sharing guidelines.
Your leadership and advocacy will have influence and impact and strengthen relationships that shift power to victim-survivors rather than further disadvantage them.
You are resilient, flexible, value collaboration, bring humour, innovation, and have cultural awareness.
