Role Overview
The Registrar/Senior Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of private and public patients of the relevant service and provision as rostered and determined by the relevant work unit. The role is performed under the direction and supervision of the Medical Specialist and includes providing medical treatment, participating in patient reviews, and delivering comprehensive care plans in a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Work under direction of the Medical Specialist to provide medical treatment and care to patients admitted to the service.
* Day to day management of private and public patients.
* Participate in patient reviews when clinically appropriate.
* Adhere to professional protocols, policies, clinical pathways and standards.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care plans.
* Demonstrate sound judgment and competence in patient care tasks.
* Provide after-hours cover as directed.
Qualifications and Competencies
* General registration with the Medical Registration Board of Australia.
* Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable).
* Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
* Current driver's licence.
Compensation
Medical Practitioner Level 5‐11: $134,930 – $189,005 per annum (pro‐rata), plus 12% superannuation. Salary is accessed on a salary packaging basis (up to $9,010 living expenses and $2,650 meals and entertainment per year).

Employment Details
Fixed term, full-time day worker (with on‐call); up to 76 hours per fortnight; commencing 3 August 2026 until 1 February 2027. Registrars receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata. Hours to be negotiated with successful applicant.
