ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function at our Wiluna operation. This is a new leadership role responsible for driving asset reliability, plant availability and maintenance excellence across the Site. Reporting directly to the Head of Site Operations on a 4/3 FIFO roster ex Perth, the Maintenance Manager will lead the site maintenance teams and work closely with operations, processing and corporate stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient and cost‐effective maintenance outcomes.
This is a key role for a hands‐on leader who can build strong teams, optimise maintenance systems and deliver sustainable operational performance. You will lead the site maintenance and engineering department to maximise equipment reliability, asset health, and operational efficiency while maintaining strong safety and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and monitoring the maintenance and engineering team, including Maintenance Superintendents
* Developing and implementing maintenance strategies for fixed plant, mobile plant and site infrastructure
* Driving asset reliability, availability, and lifecycle management
* Managing maintenance planning, scheduling, shutdowns and preventative maintenance programmes
* Overseeing contractor and supplier performance including OEM relationships
* Managing maintenance budgets, spares inventory and cost control
* Monitoring and reporting on key reliability metrics including availability, MTBF and maintaining costs
* Ensuring compliance with the WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
* Supporting operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role, you will bring strong leadership capability combined with deep technical maintenance experience within mining or heavy industry.
You will ideally have:
* Bachelor of Engineering or Trade Qualification
* 10+ years post trade / engineering experience in mining or heavy industry
* 5+ years' experience in a senior maintenance leadership role
* Strong knowledge of fixed plant and mobile plant maintenance systems
* Experience implementing reliability and asset management strategies
* Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors and OEM relationships
* Strong knowledge of CMMS systems (Pronto or similar)
* Demonstrated experience leading shutdowns, maintenance planning and reliability programs
* Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Experience within mining operations or mineral processing environments will be highly regarded
