We're looking for a sharp, creative and performance-driven Copywriter to join the Beforepay Group marketing team. You'll be the words behind our ads, landing pages, blog articles, emails and more – turning people into customers, and helping them stay
You'll collaborate closely with our Designer and Marketing & Communications Manager. You'll be responsible for maintaining a consistent tone of voice across everything we do, developing new ideas and bringing them to life, testing and iterating on ideas quickly, and using data to inform and improve your work.
You'll need to be proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, and will be comfortable working autonomously as well as with the broader team.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sydney, Australia.

Beforepay is a direct-to-consumer business offering customers access to safe and affordable loans.
Carrington Labs is our B2B offering which builds and deploys explainable AI-powered loan portfolio recommendations and credit risk solutions.

Key responsibilities
* Partner with our in-house Designer to develop creative, high-impact ad concepts.
* Write compelling copy for paid acquisition campaigns, including Meta, Google and other digital channels.team up with a designer to create
* Write clear, confident messaging for landing pages, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives and conversion goals.
* Create copy for lifecycle marketing campaigns that optimise for key business metrics, including but not limited to email, push, SMS and in-app.
* Write long-form blog articles that are useful, accessible, and aligned to SEO goals.
* Write and maintain website content, including the homepage, product pages and informational pages, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice.
* Develop organic social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), from concept to design and copy—aligned to channel best practices and audience behaviour.
* Manage a content calendar and prioritise tasks based on marketing timelines and business needs.
* Work with the broader team (Product, Design, Customer Support, Risk & Legal) to support the development of copy and content for broader marketing and business initiatives, including but not limited to award submissions,product releases, customer support requirements and partner marketing campaigns.
* Contribute to creative planning and performance reviews, using customer insights, performance data, and channel best practices to inform and iterate on content.
* Work collaboratively with the design and marketing team to ensure content and creative are aligned.
* Embrace a test-and-learn mindset—regularly developing, testing, and refining messaging based on what resonates and performs.
What we're looking for
* 3-5 years of experience writing for digital channels—ideally across paid ads, email, blog, and web.
* Strong command of the English language with experience writing for the Australian (or similar) market.
* A strong portfolio that shows you can write with clarity, creativity, and intent.
* Experience working in a marketing or growth-focused team, either agency or in-house.
* Understanding of performance marketing principles—what makes someone click, tap, or convert.
* Ability to adapt your writing style to match a defined tone of voice across different platforms.
* A proactive mindset and strong organisational skills—you can manage your own deadlines and priorities.
* Comfort collaborating with designers, marketers, and product teams.
* You use creative (e.g. Figma and Adobe Creative Suite) and analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager) to develop concepts and track performance.

* Bonus if you've worked in fintech or a regulated industry (but not essential).
