MatchWorks is looking for a positive and solutions-focused applicant to be the bridge between participants and employers, opening doors to lasting and inclusive employment opportunities. This position will be working in the North Metro area, so willingness to travel is essential.
At Matchworks, we support you for all of your employment and recruitment needs as a leading provider of job seeker and disability employment services. Our Business Development Consultant will work closely with our Employment Coaches and job seekers to gain a deep understanding of their career goals and aspirations. Leverage strong local labour market insight and established employer networks to identify and secure suitable, sustainable employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with employers across industries to secure sustainable, customised job opportunities aligned to participants\' skills, interests, and goals.
* Actively reverse market / \"cold call\" to local employers promoting participants skills-sets and experience to secure mutually beneficial employment opportunities
* Collaborate with employers to design inclusive, tailored employment solutions that meet both business needs and participant outcomes, while driving performance against KPIs and placement targets.
* Provide guidance on inclusive hiring, workplace adjustments, and the benefits of employing people with barriers to employment, while promoting customised employment opportunities across the community.
* Support ongoing success post-placement by working with employers and participants to improve retention, resolve workplace issues, monitor progress, and ensure long-term employment outcomes.
What you'll bring
* Previous experience in Recruitment, Sales or Business Development position / environment with a passion for meeting and exceeding KPI\'s
* Strong relationship-building, networking, and business development skills, with the ability to engage employers and generate sustainable job opportunities.
* Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build rapport, and promote inclusive employment practices.
* Strong analytical and digital capability, including the ability to interpret labour market trends and proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
(You\'ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate - but don\'t worry, we\'ll help guide you through this.)
