Considering a career as a mechanic with CFA? We look for candidates for the role of a District Mechanical Officer (DMO) who may be located at one of our workshops. The position is Grade 1A with a base salary of $77,302 per annum plus defined benefit super and allowances.
About the Role
As a Grade 1A District Mechanical Officer you will work under the guidance of an Officer‐in‐Charge (OIC). Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and CFA maintenance protocols.
* Ensure fleet assets are maintained to industry standards and CFA procedures.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
* Create electronic work orders using CFA software.
* Coordinate with Brigade members regarding proposed work and work performed.
* Report to the Officer‐in‐Charge on maintenance, administrative and technical matters.
* Observe Industrial Safety Standards.
About You
* Hold a Motor Mechanic Qualification and a Heavy Rigid Driver Licence (or willing to obtain within CFA‐specified timeframes).
* Possess skills to maintain safety at an incident scene and render assistance to others; First Aid Level 2 (or willing to obtain within CFA‐specified timeframes).
