ROLE OVERVIEW
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our digital product teams. We are looking for someone who can design, implement and automate continuous integration and delivery systems for digital services on web, mobile and streaming media.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and be able to collaborate closely with platform architects, product managers, developers and test engineers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Automate all aspects of digital platforms, including cloud infrastructure, testing and code deployment.
* Improve system reliability and quality by integrating monitoring, reporting and fault handling into application platforms.
* Maintain advanced technical knowledge of Digital Engineering's systems and services.
* Collaborate with Agile teams; participate in planning and review meetings and contribute significantly to the management of projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and automated code integration and deployment systems such as Bamboo or Jenkins.
* Solid experience in the development of efficient and repeatable Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment services for building and deploying software.
* Extensive experience developing infrastructure as code and supporting documentation for processes and standards.
* Excellent proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl or BASH.
* Well-versed with automated configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
* Extensive experience using common third-party DevOps tools such as Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty, JIRA and Confluence.
* Experience supporting and managing products delivered by CDN services such as Akamai or CloudFront.
* Highly advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate, analyse and solve complex technical problems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
