1300SMILES Cairns Central is seeking an experienced Casual Dental Assistant to join our friendly, supportive team. We're currently looking for someone who is efficient in both chairside assisting and sterilisation, and available to work four days a week, ideally from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Competitive rates are available for experienced candidates.
Job Description
As our Dental Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth clinical operations and an excellent experience for our patients. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, team‐focused environment and is passionate about delivering high‐quality care.
1. Provide clinical chairside assistance.
2. Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
3. Maintain sterilisation processes.
4. Maintain a clean and hygienic clinical environment.
Qualifications
5. Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
6. Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous
7. Experience in dental terminology and procedures.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Experience and knowledge of sterilisation protocols and guidelines.
10. Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
11. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast‐paced environment.
